Frequently asked questions
Questions, answered clearly
Current details about access, accounts, project boundaries, and early playtesting.
Can I play Evolve Community Server now?
Yes. Early playtesting is underway. Create and verify your Evolve identity, download the Evolve Companion, and point it to your own legitimately acquired Ashes of Creation client to take part. These tests are for validation, and characters, worlds, or progression may be wiped as systems change.
Will progress carry over from early testing?
Do not expect early-test progress to carry over. Once testing is stable, we will announce a fresh-start server where progression is intended to persist and is protected by regular backups. Everyone will begin that persistent phase from a clean start.
Is this an official continuation?
No. Evolve Community Server is an independent community project operated by Spectre Games LLC and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or operated by Intrepid Studios.
Can I get or share the Ashes of Creation client here?
No. Evolve Community Server is intended for players who legitimately purchased Ashes of Creation and retained their own game files. Do not upload, distribute, link to, request, or offer the client or other copyrighted game files through our website or Discord.
Why create an account now?
Your Evolve identity provides secure access to project support, community participation, and game sign-in through the Evolve Companion.
How does game sign-in work?
The Evolve Companion opens the Evolve Community Server website in your browser, where you sign in with your Evolve identity and authenticator when enabled. The Companion never sees your password. It receives a short-lived, single-use launch ticket and passes that ticket to the game client. You can review and sign out Companion devices from your account security page.
Why does registration check for duplicate accounts?
Healthy communities need fair access and accountable moderation. The system records privacy-conscious correlation signals, sends questionable cases to human review, and supports approved household and same-device exceptions.
Where are the forums and tools?
There are none by design. This first site is focused on the project, secure identity, and direct support.
